Latest updates on the deveolpment of Omni-SLR is presented. It is a project name and also a system name for a low-cost and small-size satellite laser ranging (SLR) system, aiming at boosting the number of tracking stations in the future. As its name implies, the Omni-SLR system and its subsystem is designed to be applicable not only to SLR and geodesy but also to various purposes.
Since we initiated the project in 2020, we have developed a number of basic components. In particular, we have devoted in precise control of a low-cost (COTS) telescope mount and we have tested in-room ranging measurements using our prototype system.
