[SSS07-30] Source Duration of Intraslab Earthquakes

*Goki Irie1, Junichi Nakajima1 (1.Tokyo Institute of Technology)

The source processes of earthquakes are frequently discussed by estimating the source time function, which represents the time change of moment release. While the source time function of shallow crustal earthquakes has been estimated in many studies, that of intraslab earthquakes remains less understood. This study investigates source duration for aftershocks of the 2003 Miyagi-oki earthquake (M7.1) that occurred throughout the crust to mantle of the Pacific Plate. This study follows the method of Yoshida (2019), where the source time function is obtained by iterative time-domain deconvolution based on the empirical Green's function method. Our preliminary results show that the width of the source time function is 0.15 to 0.2 s for earthquakes with 3.7≦M≦3.9. In this talk, we discuss the depth and magnitude dependencies of the rupture process of intraslab earthquakes.
