Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) monitors the activity of 110 active volcanoes in Japan. At these of more active 50 volcanoes, we operate continuous monitoring of volcanic activity with seismometer, GNSS, tiltmeter, movie camera and LF microphone. If an anomaly event is detected, we evaluate volcanic activity and we issue Volcanic Warnings as needed. Volcanic activity have a various aspects such as its pattern and the time scale of each phenomenon. We are still facing many difficult cases to evaluate quickly and accurately. In this presentation, we report such recent cases.
