[M-IS24] Atmospheric electricity: High energy phenomena

Sun. May 21, 2023 10:45 AM - 12:00 PM 106 (International Conference Hall, Makuhari Messe)

convener:Yasuhide Hobara(Graduate School of Information and Engineering Department of Communication Engineering and Informatics, The University of Electro-Communications), Kenkichi NAGATO(National Institute of Technology, Kochi College), Chairperson:Yasuhide Hobara(Graduate School of Information and Engineering Department of Communication Engineering and Informatics, The University of Electro-Communications)

This year's Atmospheric Electricity session will focus on observational and theoretical studies of high-energy phenomena in the field of atmospheric electricity in addition to traditional topics in atmospheric electricity. This session will consist of invited presentations introducing the above-mentioned fields by leading experts, and contributed presentations on the latest observational and theoretical research results. We certainly welcome papers regarding all topics on atmospheric electricity including lightning physics, lightning observation technology, electrical effects of thunderstorms, lightning and meteorology, mesospheric transient luminous events (TLEs), global electric circuit, atmospheric ions, fair-weather electricity, lightning protection, terrestrial electromagnetic noise environment (e.g. wave propagation in the magnetosphere and ionosphere).
