The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specific goals set by the United Nations to solve various global issues faced by both developing and developed countries, are now widely recognized. The importance of earth and planetary science goes without saying, given the history of human civilization's development in close relationship with the Earth system, and in the sense that it is the most fundamental scientific aspect in solving the issues we face. In 2023, JpGU meeting will expand on this discussion and invite panelists also from developing countries to share and deepen the discussion on the SDGs and challenges ahead from the aspect of inclusion.
