Keywords:Temperature/Water vapor Lidar, Data assimilation in cloud-scale

Data assimilation of low-altitude water vapor mixing ratio is expected to improve the prediction accuracy of precipitation system. On the other hand, the relative humidity in the low-level altitude before heavy rainfall
can be nearly saturated, and humidification by water-vapor assimilation is likely to be difficult if the temperature is not corrected. Therefore, we developed the data assimilation system for both temperature and water vapor in the same time using "water vapor/temperature lidar" manufactured by Eko Seiki Co., Ltd..
We demonstrated that temperature assimilation prior to water vapor assimilation successfully modify the
water-vapor field using pseudo-observation dataset as a preliminary experiment.
