Keywords:Middle atmosphere , Atmospheric waves, gravity wave
Therefore, the detailed structure of atmospheric waves driving the atmospheric general circulation and the equatorial quasi-biennial oscillation, especially gravity waves with small vertical wavelengths, is still unclear.
We have been conducting high-altitude radiosonde observations using large rubber balloons in order to construct a method to observe wind velocity and temperature variations from the ground at altitudes above 30 km at multiple observation points. In this presentation, we introduce the relation between gas volume and arrival altitude, tropopause temperature and arrival altitude, and behavior near the arrival altitude obtained from the previous observation. In addition, the initial results of radiosonde observations conducted at the University of the Ryukyus in September, November, in 2022 and January in 2023 will be presented.
