Water source can found from various place such as rainfall, surface water and groundwater. Semarang city is the capital city of Central Java Province with development of industry, commerce, and tourism develop fast. It is due to the strategic location of Semarang City on the route to the west and east of the Java Island. The morphology of the city of Semarang are divided into two, namely hilly areas and alluvial plains. Development rapidly seen in section alluvial plains of Semarang City. Beside surface water, water sources in the city of Semarang for industrial sector are mainly from groundwater. The goals of the research are discussed about assessing groundwater quality using analyses of both hydrogeochemical and multivariate. There were 30 groundwater samples from confined aquifer which taken from area in the alluvial plain. Geospatial spatial analysis, Gibbs diagram, Piper diagram, and multivariate were applied to visualize the analysis. The result of hydrgeogechemsitry analysis indicate there is 4 types of groundwater, namely: Alkaline Earth Water Predominantly Hydrogencarbonate, Alkaline Earth Water Higher Alkaline Content Predominantly Hydrogencarbonate, Alkaline Water Predominantly Hydrogen carbonate, and Alkaline Water Predominantly Chloride. Results of multivariate statistical analysis show there are 9 variables that influence quality groundwater namely: TDS, EC , Hardness, Ca 2+, Fe 2+, Mn 2+, K +, Na+, and Cl-. There are 2 factors influence groundwater quality, namely the seawater intrusion factor that is includes the variables TDS, EC, K +, Na+, and Cl- and lithology or deep well construction factor includes variable Total Hardness, Ca2+, Fe2+, and Mn 2+.
