[E-11-04] JpGU Super Lesson: Lightning observation and data analysis

Lightning discharge activity is an inexpensive and effective means of monitoring the development of cumulonimbus clouds in guerrilla rains and typhoons. In this lesson, we will observe lightning discharges in Southeast Asia by assembling a lightning wave receiving antenna in the field. The lightning data will be matched with cloud images from meteorological satellites to estimate the location of occurrence.
