[E-11-12] Extreme Rainfalls and the Climate Change
In various parts of the world, increased frequencies of disastrous rainfalls are anticipated associated with the global warming. Accumulations of space-borne precipitation radar observations have enabled us to study characteristics of precipitation globally and statistically. In this talk, I will introduce recent studies on relationships between extreme rainfalls and their environmental conditions, to renew our understandings on changes of extreme rainfalls associated with the climate change.
