[E-11-16] JpGU Super Lesson: Introduction to GIS QGIS: Topographic Observation in VR Byobugaura Experienced in Metaverse

In recent years, the use of virtual reality (VR) has been attracting attention for the purpose of human resource development and outreach in various research fields. By utilizing a metaverse environment in which multiple people can interact with each other through avatars, it is possible to approximate the educational experience of observing landforms in the field. In this program, we will conduct a fieldwork to observe landforms in a world that reproduces real geographical features (a part of Byobugaura, Chiba Prefecture) in order to introduce the use of VR in geoscience education.
