[E-11-25] Interdisciplinary research expanding from radiocarbon analysis

*Masayo Minami1 (1. Institute for Space−Earth Environmental Research, Nagoya University)

Radiocarbon (14C) has made remarkable progress over the past half century as a scientific tool for measuring ages spanning 50,000 years, contributing to the development of research in a wide range of fields, including Earth science, space science, history, and archaeology. In addition to dating, 14C is also widely used in research on environmental dynamics. In this lecture, I will introduce some interdisciplinary studies that combine humanities and sciences, and different fields, expanding from 14C analysis.
