[MIS10-05] Does temperature change vary with altitude in the Japan Alps area?

*Keisuke Suzuki1 (1.Research Center for Mountain Environment, Shinshu University)

Keywords:temperature change, mountainous area

According to the observation data of the Japan Meteorological Agency, which has many observatories in low altitude areas, there are many places where the rising trend of temperature in recent years is remarkable. The highest temperature observatory by the Japan Meteorological Agency is Nobeyama at an altitude of 1350 m, except for Mt. Fuji, and the altitude area between Mt. Fuji and Nobeyama is a blank area. We are continuing meteorological observations at high altitude points in the Japan Alps area, which is a blank area for the observation. From these observation results, no clear rising trend in temperature is observed at present. It has been reported that temperatures rise more rapidly at higher elevations in continental mountains outside Japan, but why is there such a difference from the observed results in mountainous areas in Japan?
