In Japanese high schools, the number of students studying "Basic Earth Science" and "Geography" and the has increased. Therefore, teachers who do not specialize in Geosience or Geography are in charge of those subjects.
I think it is difficult for them to carry out educational practices that incorporate local materials and fieldwork.
As a practice that can overcome the difficulty, I used Hakone Geopark and conducted fieldwork education practice at two high schools in Kanagawa prefecture. This presentation reports on these practices.
