At the end of Edo Epoch, Japan opend the door to foreigners. At that time the production of minerals were very low. Satsuma Han used the endowment of Bergian marchants and hired French mining engineers and then intended to develop the gold mines in Satsuma. Just at that time Edo Shognate corrapsed.
