[O06-P19] Research on geothermal power generation by field survey and self-made power generation model

*Sho Takahashi1 (1. Furukawa Reimei Senior High School)

Keywords:geothermal power, volcano, Geology

The northern part of Miyagi Prefecture is famous for its hot springs, and he started research on the theme of geothermal power generation. He conducted field surveys of multiple geothermal power plants in the Tohoku region and learned about various power generation methods and their advantages and disadvantages.
In order to investigate the power generation efficiency of geothermal power generation that uses high-temperature hot water underground, we created a simple single-flash model of geothermal power generation.
Furthermore, in order to use the geothermal power generation model, we thought that binary power generation, which can use relatively low-temperature steam and hot water, would be effective. In the future, he hopes to build a binary-powered model.
