[O06-P42] Relationship of conditional dams where rivers overflow
Keywords:disaster prevention, erosion control dams, river flooding
In Japan, where about 75% of the land area is mountainous, many dams are built along rivers because landslide disasters are likely to occur. Therefore, we thought that the susceptibility to disasters might change depending on the location of the dam, and conducted an experiment. As a result, it was found that installing a dam downstream slows down the flow, but at the same time, it turns out that wood overflows. From the above points, we came to the conclusion that it is good from the viewpoint of preventing landslide disasters to construct two dams on one river in order to dam the wood upstream and slow down the flow velocity downstream. In the future, I would like to study whether there are changes in the susceptibility to landslide disasters due to differences in river soil.
