Toward a sustainable society, we examined what kind of materials the environment- and people-friendly paper cups are composed of. From the perspective of people-friendly, we looked at price per unit and high performance in heat retention and insulation, and from the perspective of environment- friendly, we looked at low plastic content. We focused on seven paper cups in this study, ranking them in each field, and from these, environment- and people-friendly paper cups were examined. The results showed that unbleached paper cups made of virgin pulp and polyethylene laminate were the best. In addition, the top three paper cups in the overall results were all paper cups made of virgin pulp and polyethylene laminate, so we thought that these two materials are excellent for the environment and people.
