Keywords:clastic dike, anomalous sedimentary,, Western Sendai

We conducted fieldwork at Mt.Togami in the western Sendai area and an outcrop where clastic rocks such as conglomerate and sandstone were anomalously deposited on a layer of tuffaceous siltstone was discovered. The outcrop was sketched and the rocks were sampled. The mineral composition of the rocks were observed and it was found that the outcrop is a dike-shaped structure formed by the up or down movements of clastic rocks of different compositions through a layer of tuffaceous siltstone, the host rock. The mineral composition of the outcrop and the layer above the outcrop is not similar, suggesting that the clastic rock is unlikely to have been supplied from the upper strata. Therefore, the structure of the outcrop discovered at Mt.Togami is considered to be an injection clastic dike from below.
