[O06-P89] Environment of modern Enoshima by foraminifera
Keywords:foraminifera, beach sand
Focusing on the result of a previous study 20 years ago that there were almost no foraminifera west of Enoshima, I decided to conduct a survey myself to see if there really were any foraminifera west of Enoshima. I collected sand and picked up foraminifera using a binocular stereomicroscope.
As a result, from the foraminifera found at these two sites, it was found that the area around Enoshima is a place where warm and cold currents mix. Seeds found in the west that could not be found in the east. Based on these results, we considered that the sand supply source may be different in the west-east of Enoshima. We also considered that foraminifera could have been found on the west side of Enoshima due to differences in survey methods or the effects of global warming.
