[O06-P90] Changes in the flow path of the Zanbori River and the Tachikawa fault
Keywords:Fault, channel, terraces
We were interested in the Zanbori River because it flows near our school, has an artificial channel, and is parallel to the Tachikawa Fault, whose existence has recently been discussed. Therefore, we explored how the flow path of the Zanbori River has been changed and how it is related to the Tachikawa Fault. Literature review revealed that the flow path has been artificially changed since the Edo period due to water utilization, pollution, and development of bases and factories, while flooding has occurred along the old flow path. In addition, as for the Tachikawa Fault, fieldwork, 3D maps, and literature review confirmed that it crosses two terraces and changes the flow path of the river, and we considered that it may be unreasonable to deny the existence of the Tachikawa Fault.
