It is not yet well understood whether the ionospheric Alfvén resonator is equally or differently involved in electron acceleration in the main cusp aurora and the poleward-moving cusp aurora. In this study, we examined data from the conjugate observation of cusp auroras obtained at a wavelength of 630 nm by a ground-based all-sky imager and the electric and magnetic fields obtained at the cusp at an altitude of about 500 km by the SWARM satellite. The analysis revealed that features consistent with trapping in the ionospheric Alfvén resonator were found in both the main cusp aurora and the poleward-moving cusp aurora. We report how those features differ depending on the regions including the area in between, and discuss the reason for the differences.
