[PEM11-P05] Climate for habitable exoplanets
キーワード:ハビタブル惑星、気候、大気大循環モデル
A large number of exoplanets are detected and some of them are expected to be rocky planets with Earth-like bulk composition within the habitable zone. Recently, the climate for exoplanets in the habitable zone has been estimated with a three-dimensional climate model(3D GCM). For exo-terrestrial planets within the habitable zone around M stars, such planets are thought to be in a tidally-locked state where they have permanent day-side and night-side. Previous studies with 3D GCM found a larger insolation of the runaway greenhouse threshold than that estimated using a 1D radiative-convective equilibrium model because the effect of clouds is important to maintain surface liquid water, in other words, a habitable environment. I will summarize the effect of clouds on the habitable climate on exo-terrestrial planets and discuss the inner edge of the habitable zone around M stars.
