[PEM11-P17] Ariel mission: possible science cases for low-gravity exoplanets

*Masahiro Ikoma1 (1.Division of Science, National Astronomical Observatory of Japan)

Keywords:Exoplanet, Planetary atmosphere, Space mission

Ariel, the atmospheric remote-sensing infrared exoplanet large survey, is an ESA space telescope mission dedicated to exoplanet observation in the infrared, which is scheduled for launch in 2029. The mission is aimed at conducting infrared spectroscopic observations of transiting exoplanets. Several Japanese scientists are participating in and are expected to make scientific contributions to the mission. Here I will introduce the scientific working group associated with low-gravity planets that I have recently set up in the Ariel consortium.
