[PPS06-05] Sunlight-assisted water trapping mechanism on polar region of Moon

*Ko Hashizume1 (1.Faculty of Science, Ibaraki University)

Keywords:Polar region of Moon, Water, Pumping effect

According to recent remote-sensing results, a substantial amount of water is expected to be trapped in/on lunar regolith layer at high latitudes. The water could be trapped at different types of sites, by different mechanisms. This paper reports the results on the numerical simulation for the water trapped at a depth of the regolith layer by the pumping effect.
