[PPS06-P10] Scientific objectives and in-situ observations for sample-return from the Moon

Keywords:Moon, sample return, in-situ observation, late heavy bombardment, magma ocean, anorthositic crust

Sample returns of impact melt rocks formed in basin-forming events and purest anorthosites formed from magma ocean are required for understanding the impact history in the early Solar system and the crust-mantle differentiation process on the early Moon. We have been considering sample return exploration from the Moon to take advantage of the opportunities for lunar activities promoted by the ARTEMIS program. We will report on the status of the study.
