[SVC34-10] Revisiting to seawater contributions to volcanics in Mid-Ocean Ridges and in back-arc spreading center

*Hidenori Kumagai1,2 (1.Gakushuin Wemen’s College, 2.Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology)

Keywords:Mid Ocean Ridges, Back-arc spreading center, Noble gas elemental ratios, Melt-seawater interaction

Inspired by Tamura+(2022)'s model of formation of MOHO, here we revisited to a seawater contribution on noble gas signatures of volcanics at spreading centers of ocean floor. Details are in Japanese abstract.

Figure caption: Noble gas elemental ratios for samples obtained from Lau Basin. Data were taken from Honda+(1993). Size of the symbols reflect their 36Ar abundances, which is frequently regarded to be an indicator of atmospheric contamination. Filled circles: Central Lau Spreading Center, Open circles: King's Triple Junction. The data for Eastern Lau Spreading Center is plotted outside of the frame due to 132Xe enrichment.
