Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) is a pioneer in the Exploration & Production (E&P) of oil and natural gas in Japan, having been engaged in this field for over half a century. In its oil and gas E&P business, JAPEX currently produces oil and natural gas from 10 domestic oil and gas fields, supplying and selling these as valuable domestically produced energy resources. Leveraging the technological expertise cultivated domestically, JAPEX also participates in overseas oil and gas development and production projects. Furthermore, JAPEX utilizes the technology and knowledge accumulated through its E&P business to engage in Infrastructure & Utility businesses such as supplying domestic natural gas and LNG (liquefied natural gas) and participating in natural gas-fired power generation projects.
