[A-CG32] Extratropical oceans and atmosphere
Sun. May 26, 2024 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM 201B (International Conference Hall, Makuhari Messe)

In extratropics, the ocean not only responds to the atmospheric forcings but also actively affects atmospheric conditions. Air-sea interactions in the mid-latitude have drawn increasing attention, and recent observational and modeling studies are advancing our understanding of their mechanisms and roles in the climate system. The goal of this session is to further deepen our understanding of the air-sea interaction in the extratropics by focusing on a wide variety of phenomena from meso-scale to basin-scale, and from daily to global warming timescales. Presentations from a variety of perspectives are welcome, regardless of the method used, such as observation or modeling. Studies presented in this session are not necessarily limited to air-sea interactions, but are widely invited on oceanic and atmospheric phenomena and variations.
