In modern geochemistry as well as in geoscience, new chemical analytical methods and new chemical perspectives are the starting point for innovative research. The primary aim of this session is to seek new breakthroughs in geoscience by bringing together researchers who are skilled in advanced chemical methods and those who apply them at JpGU, where researchers from many fields gather.
In particular, this session in 2024, entitled 'Frontiers of geochemistry: discussing its attractiveness and future prospects', will invite lectures, including reviews of the field, from researchers in various fields that form the frontiers and boundary areas of geochemistry. We would also like to promote cooperation with the many co-hosted sessions organised by the Geochemical Society.
In geochemistry, the migration of elements in various spheres in earth and planetary science, changes in isotope ratios and isotope fractionation, and the elucidation of chemical species and chemical elemental processes are being researched. We would like to discuss the chemical methods and ideas necessary for these studies.
We hope that you will discuss the fascination and future prospects of geochemistry in this session.
