[EV04-03] Global mapping of sea ice production derived from satellite observation and its application to the research on global ocean system

Takeshi Tamura1 (1. National Institute of Polar Research)

During this talk, I will show the global mapping of sea ice production derived from satellite data using ”sea ice thickness algorithm” specifically developed for estimating sea ice production. In addition, I will also introduce the research of the basal melting process of glaciers, which has been found that the offshore Totten Glacier is important as a melt-promoting zone in East Antarctica.
