In geography, which has been described as the study of the relationship between man and nature, regional geography (RG) has always been an issue to be inquired. Geography is a discipline that can be established as RG. However, with the scientificization and subdivision of geography, even questions such as what is geography and what is geography as geography are no longer asked.
This is an issue shared not only by geography but also by other sciences that consider human phenomena.
In recent years, as interdisciplinary research has been called for, attempts to gain a perspective on the above issues have practical as well as theoretical significance.
In this study, we will organize the challenges that RG has faced in logical-empirical research over time and examine, with specific examples, the meaning of geographical research in forest research and what educational meaning geographical practice can have in the stage of higher education, which is the foundation for researchers to be nurtured in the first place.
