[HGG02-10] Re-evaluating the 'bounty of the earth' during the Energy Transition

★Invited Papers

Keywords:energy transition

We are currently in an energy transition era, and the importance of small-quantity, high-mix, regional industries is increasing with the gradual shift from heavy and intensive industries supporting a long-distance, mass-transportation, large-consumption society dependent on fossil fuels and large-scale power plants, to a locally distributed, local production for local consumption society utilising natural energy. Based on this perspective, this presentation will discuss possible utilisation of natural energy and underground geology in Japan.
