[MGI27-03] A semantic artefact catalogue for astronomy, planetary sciences and heliophysics

*Baptiste Cecconi1, Laura Debisschop1 (1.LESIA, Observatoire de Paris, CNRS, PSL Research University)

Keywords:Semantics, Astronomy, Planetary Sciences, Heliophysics, Interoperability

In the frame of FAIR-IMPACT*, we have installed an OntoPortal instance and have used it to gather vocabularies, thesaurii and ontologies from the astronomy, planetary sciences and heliophysics communities. The goal is two-fold: (1) to enhance cross-domain semantic interoperability with the mapping capability of the tool; and (2) to improve the description of the semantic artefacts. Some sets of terms have been processed to be fed into the tool (from other representations, like CSV or XML Schema, into RDF). The improved semantic artefacts can then be used to annotate resources on the web (such as DOI landing pages). They can also be used to build science knowledge graphs, to further enhance the discoverability of the resources.
