Keywords:TEC anomaly, regional TEC observation, GIM TEC, Taiwan earthquakes

This case study analyzes the temporal and spatial anomalies in the total electron content (TEC) in the ionosphere prior to the M6.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred on September 18, 2022, in the Taitung region of Taiwan. In this study, we further statistically analyze 97 earthquakes higher than M6.0 that occurred in Taiwan from 1998 to 2023. In addition to the Taiwan regional ionospheric TEC observation data, we also try to analyze the spatial anomalies of the ionosphere before earthquakes with the global ionospheric map (GIM) TEC data. The detail analysis results will be reported in the presentation.
