Rainstorm disaster hazard refers to the risk degree of flood disaster caused by rainstorm, which is not only related to the intensity of rainstorm itself, but also related to the terrain and other disaster generating environment. The steps of rainstorm disaster hazard assessment are as follows: (1) Four factors, namely, the maximum hourly precipitation, the maximum daily precipitation, the accumulated precipitation of the process, and the duration of rainstorm, are selected as disaster-causing factors in the rainstorm process, and the rainstorm process intensity index is obtained by weighted sum. (2) Accumulate the intensity indexes of all rainstorm processes in history and divide by the number of years to get the annual intensity index. (3) Using altitude and its standard deviation to determine the impact of terrain on flood formation, calculate the disaster-prone environment index. (4) The annual intensity index and disaster-prone environment index are weighted sum to obtain the rainstorm disaster hazard index. Taking Anhui Province in eastern China as an example, rainstorm hazard in the whole province was assessed and analyzed, and the hazard areas of different grades were divided to provide reference information for disaster prevention.
