[MSD35-P08] Observation of atmospheric environmental compositions, GHGs/SLCFs, from geostationary orbit in Asia
Keywords:Asian pollution , Global warming , Atmospheric Compositions, Green Innovation, Green recovery
Global warming and air pollution are global serious issues that require urgent solutions. We propose a satellite system for observing the atmospheric distribution and their behavior of long-lived greenhouse gases (GHGs) such as CO2 and short-lived climate forcers (SLCFs) with quasi-real time from geostationary orbit over Asia. Time resolution is about 30 minutes from geostationary orbit, and a km-level spatial resolution with hyperspectral measurements. Atmospheric chemical transport models and data assimilation by using these observation data will realise to assess the large emissions sources. The synergistic effects of both issues are also important. These researches will lead reduction policies with evaluation of the policy effects by observation, and will also contribute to the SLCF inventory in IPCC AR7 cycle.
