Keywords:Katsuyama, Geopark

Dinosaur Valley Fukui Katsuyama Geopark covers the entire area of Katsuyama City and was certified as a Japanese Geopark in 2009. Katsuyama City is located in the northeastern part of Fukui Prefecture, with the Kuzuryu River flowing through the center and surrounded by mountains over 1,000 meters high. In this area, we have a lot of geological, ecological and cultural heritages.
In this presentation, we will report and look back on our activities to promote the Geopark since our geopark was designated as a Japanese Geopark in 2009.
