Aditya-L1 is India's first dedicated solar observatory in space launched on Sep 02, 2023. It carries seven different payloads, including four for remote sensing and three for in-situ measurements. The four remote sensing instruments include an internally occulted coronagraph that is capable of observing the Sun's corona in imaging, spectroscopic and spectropolarimetric mode, a full disk imager in Near Ultraviolet, and two full Sun intergrated X-ray spectrometers covering the energy range from 1 to 150 keV. The spacecraft of inserted into the halo orbit around the first Lagrange point on Jan 6th. This talk will review the current status of the mission and describe the unique capabilities it offers for detailed solar observations.
