Landslides, including rockslides, rockfalls, and debris flows, have caused widespread damage in many countries, particularly in Asia. These phenomena have been studied across diverse fields such as geomorphology, geology, geophysics, Sabo engineering, and geotechnics. However, there is a growing need for a shared platform to exchange research findings and foster cross-disciplinary discussions to enhance our understanding and mitigation efforts. This session aims to provide such a forum, inviting contributions that explore landslides and related phenomena. Key topics include improving our understanding of landslide characteristics, gaining new insights into their mechanisms, developing innovative monitoring techniques, advancing methods for forecasting and prediction, and sharing successful approaches to landslide management, hazard assessment, and risk evaluation.
