Solar-terrestrial physics is the research field focused on understanding the coupling processes between the Sun and Earth quantitatively. The research area is vast, and combining multiple observation methods and modeling is essential. We have proposed a large-scale project called "Study of coupling processes in the solar-terrestrial system" to establish a comprehensive observation system from the solar wind to the Earth that includes the Equatorial MU radar, EISCAT_3D radar, a next-generation solar wind observation system, and a global observation network. This initiative will enable long-term monitoring of the solar wind speed, the magnetosphere variations in the polar regions, the vertical coupling of the atmosphere, and variations of the atmosphere/ionosphere in all latitudes. The IUGONET database allows for integrated data handling and is widely utilized in this field. In this session, we solicit papers on solar-terrestrial physics and atmospheric science, namely, ground- and satellite-based observations, solar wind, space weather, models, and databases. By collaborating with participants from Japan and around the world, we will discuss trends and directions in solar-terrestrial physics and deepen consideration of future plans.
