[AAS07-04] EarthCAREによる層状性・対流性雲の全球観測およびMIROCとの比較
キーワード:EarthCARE、Doppler CPR、衛星シミュレータ
The EarthCARE's Doppler CPR observations reveal global characteristics of clouds with new vertical Doppler velocities. This new observation allows us to evaluate the droplet fall velocity and cumulus vertical motion, which was often considered as tuning parameters of numerical models. Particurally in the case of GCM, convective and stratiform clouds are treated separately, and thus we tested a method for classifying EarthCARE observations into cloud-types. In this presentation, a statistical analysis was conducted separately on stratiform and convective clouds obtained by EarthCARE, and comparison with MIROC6 GCM was provided using satellite signal simulator COSP2 to investigate GCM bias. Furthermore, we made sensitivity test on MIROC6 based on retrieval of droplet fall velocity obtained by EarthCARE and discussed potential impact on climate state in GCMs.
