We present a generalization of the IIBR (Israel Institute for Biological research) in-house three-dimensional Lagrangian stochastic pollutant dispersion model to a consistent description of flow and dispersion in heterogeneous canopies. The approach is based on the time- and space- avareged Navier-Stokes equations and on recent findings on the analysis of correlation times in canopy. We further test this generalized model by providing a modeled description of the transport and dispersion of particulate matter (PM), which originates simultaneously from multiple sources in the industrial hub of Haifa bay area (HBA). This is compared to measured data of PM concentrations showing agreement with acceptance criteria.
