[ACG53-P02] 富栄養化した干潟における栄養塩循環に底生生物の巣穴が及ぼす生態学的影響
キーワード:底生生物巣穴、干潟、ベントス、栄養塩
Benthic burrows are widespread across the seafloor in coastal ecosystems worldwide. Among them, the burrows of upogebiid shrimp play a significant role in material cycling, particularly through filtration. Despite their ecological importance, few studies have quantitatively assessed the fluxes between shrimp burrows and the overlying water column. This study aims to quantify the exchange of nutrients and chlorophyll-a through upogebiid shrimp burrows in a tidal flat in the inner part of Ise Bay. We measured both burrow and sediment (no-burrow) fluxes and assessed the potential impact of shrimp burrows on nutrient cycling in the eutrophic coastal ecosystem.
