*Hiroki Suga1 (1.Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute)

Keywords:NanoTerasu, SPring-8, synchrotron radiation-based soft X-ray microspectroscopy

The research usage of synchrotron radiation-based soft X-ray microscopes in Japan has been expanded more actively in recent years. In this presentation, I will introduce some of the soft X-ray microspectroscopy techniques in SPring-8 and NanoTerasu, which are useful for understanding the organic-inorganic interaction, including the activities of microorganisms in the natural environment. In particular, the specifications of a scanning soft X-ray fluorescence microscopes at BL17SU in SPring-8 and the nanoscale X-ray absorption spectroscopy beamline, BL13U, in NanoTerasu will be shared.
