In research on content, including teaching materials, there are studies that observe and analyze what activities were done using the content and what effects were obtained, but while the number of times the content was used is emphasized to see the effects, the data obtained is often short-term. On the other hand, it is possible to observe the production process through which the content was created, but the data contains information for a longer period than effectiveness measurement, and in order to see how it changes over time, it is necessary to select an appropriate analysis method. In many cases, a qualitative treatment that deals with linguistic information is more appropriate than a quantitative treatment using something like a Likert scale. Since the spring of 2023, a board game that reflects the latest astronomy research has been developed by board game experts and astronomy science communicators, and the game rules are in the final stages of being formulated as of early February 2025. Since the start of development, the development system has been based on research, and not only has the effect of analyzing the spread of the developed board game been analyzed, but from the beginning of the project, the development process has been viewed as a site of science communication, and discussions and text exchanges have been recorded as research topics from the beginning. The change in emphasis in development throughout the development is due to the accumulation of exchanges on the development side. Using the concept of Trajectory Equifinality Approach (TEA), we attempt to analyze the development process as time-series data. The process of incorporating elements into board game rules through interviews with researchers about academic content is an easy-to-understand example of applying the Three Layers of Genesis Model (TLMG) in TEA. In addition, various factors that appear in the board game development process can be either stimulating or stagnating factors in rule creation, and are positioned as Social Guidance (SG) and Social Direction (SD) in TEA.Since spring 2023, board game experts and astronomy science communicators have been working on developing a board game that reflects the latest astronomy research, and as of early February 2025, the game rules are in the final stages of being formulated.
