The Nankai Trough earthquake is approaching and is predicted to cause extensive damage. Many urban areas and tourist attractions are located directly above the Nankai Trough, and it is foreseeable that young people and inbound travelers unfamiliar with disasters will have difficulty in evacuating. In many areas, there is a shortage of signs indicating the location and direction of shelters, and the cost and location constraints are too great to increase this number, making it unfeasible. Therefore, this study proposes a system that projects disaster prevention signs onto glass walls and windows which are often installed in buildings in urban areas, only when a disaster occurs. This system will be implemented with a transmissive screen film, a short-throw projector, and an emergency power supply. Glass has an image of being easily shattered in the event of a disaster, but the application of film can increase its strength, and most importantly, it is likely to help guide people to evacuation centers and first-aid stations, as the number of glass walls in the city is overwhelming as the exterior walls of convenience stores and restaurants. Although the cost of this system may seem too high to be simply a disaster prevention infrastructure, it is expected to be cost-effective to a certain extent because it can be used to project advertisements on this transparent screen film during normal times, and there are high expectations for the widespread use of this system.
