AI products contain misinformation such as simple errors, halucinations, and even intentional fakery. However, it is considered to be an educational tool for learners to be exposed to AI's products with an awareness of critical thinking.

I compared two types of earth science themes: (1) sentences generated by having AI recognize actual photographs, and (2) images generated by giving AI prompts. As a result, it was considered that (2) was more suitable for themes that are large in space and time and involve estimation, such as the inner structure of the earth and the earth hundreds of millions of years ago, while (1) was more suitable for themes that involve actual records, such as interpretation of outcrops and weather maps, as teaching materials as an entrance to learning.

Therefore, this study examined the effectiveness of a teaching material in which an AI provides explanations of images of past natural disasters and the learner searches for misinformation in the text generated from the images.
