[HDS07-01] Effect of sphericity on non-spherical segregation and flow behavior of bi-disperse granular flow through Discrete Element Method
キーワード:Granular flows, Particle segregation, Discrete element method, Sphericity
Particle segregation is a phenomenon widely observed in various geophysical processes in nature. While the effects of particle size and density on the segregation behavior have been extensively studied, the influence of particle shape remains unclear. This study investigates the segregation behavior of particles with four different sphericities through DEM numerical simulations, analyzing the changes in parameters and characteristics of particle shape during segregation and flow processes. Numerical results indicate that larger particle sphericity leads to higher flow velocities and makes particle segregation more difficult. These findings indicate that particle shape has a significant impact on particle segregation motion and mobility. This study may provide insights into granular system dynamics and practical guidance for landslide disaster prevention and mitigation.
