[HGG03-P06] Land degradation and restoration in the recent global context along nature-based solutions

This poster reviews published satellite-based analyses on recent distribution of degraded lands in the global context and discusses the rationality of the data from a perspective from the field-level investigation. Restoration strategies in different environmental and social settings are introduced. Geo-ecological approaches to restore productive, sustainable environment under mainstreaming of nature-based solutions (NbS) are outlined and their potential to various local backgrounds are discussed.
